Posted by Alice Moses, LMHC Spending time in nature can be very therapeutic. If you're like me and live in a city, it can sometimes seem challenging to find ways to spend time in nature. However, it's often all around us (or a short walk or drive away) and by simply practicing being mindful - looking up, down, and all around - we can enjoy some of nature's health benefits! Living in New England at this time of year provides an added benefit to being outside - the changing leaves are beautiful! Here are some photos from a recent 'urban nature walk' where I practiced being mindful and curious about my surroundings. If you're not able to get outside, try taking some slow, relaxing, deep breaths while looking at these photos. Or listen to some gentle nature sounds. Breathe. Relax.

I completely agree! Nature has a wonderful way of grounding us and providing a sense of peace, even in busy city environments. It's easy to overlook the natural beauty around us, but as you mentioned, simply being mindful of our surroundings can help us tap into its calming effects. New England’s changing leaves are definitely a special treat this time of year! The vibrant colors are a perfect reminder of how nature offers its own healing power.

To buy gold in an IRA, you need to set up a self-directed IRA with a custodian that allows precious metals investments. Then, you can purchase IRS-approved gold, such as specific gold coins or bars, and have them stored in an approved depository. The process involves selecting a custodian, funding the IRA, choosing the gold you want, and ensuring the storage complies with IRS regulations.
